The Oregon Bioscience Association will take a look at “The Bioscience Landscape” during its annual conference, set this year for Oct. 20 to 21.
The conference will feature professional development sessions covering topics from finance to mentoring and networking; discussions of tech transfer and translational research; and company pitch showcases, in which entrepreneurs will have 10 minutes to pitch to an inventor panel.
Speakers for the event come from a wide range of businesses and organization, many of them local and focused in areas of bioscience and technology. Others offer expertise in finance, intellectual property, and recruitment and staffing.
Registration is open through Oct. 18, and price varies according to registrant type (OBA member, nonmember, academic and student) and days/events attended: $70 to $545.
The conference will be held at Reed College in Portland and include two receptions: Bio, Blues and Beer on Oct. 20 and Bio on the Vine on Oct. 21. Hours are shown in the photo above.
